Hi, I'm Lyndon Crick of Frankston, Australia and welcome to my blog. I've been researching my family tree for a couple of years now and I thought it was time to put some of the story of my family up on the web.
It's a story of transported convicts, smugglers from Kent, miners from Cornwall, Crimean War heroes and Grenadier Guards, Swedish sailors from Finland and more. It's the story, for the most part, of good, honest folk who toiled to do the best they could for their families, often under difficulty.
So, while there are no rich or powerful ancestors, no lords or ladies, it is an interesting story in itself. And, it's one I wanted to tell for my little grandchildren who live in the USA. Someday, I hope, they'll want to know about their Australian family and here it will be.
Hopefully, also, it will be of interest to our relatives elsewhere, known and unknown.
My aim is to start with my parents and work back through the generations, so feel free to check back regularly.
Please feel free to leave a comment or to email me (lcrick@yahoo.com), I'd be happy to hear from you.
